Pixel daily 8/23/24 *research*

Yesterday's Lospec #pixel_dailies #pixelart prompt was research with a funky palette -- https://lospec.com/palette-list/atlantis -- went for a sci-fi horror tileset, heavily inspired by an NES game called VICE: Project Doom (https://www.mobygames.com/game/15106/vice-project-doom/screenshots/) and its weird mutant bio research lab.

There are a few middle era/later NES games that I think have some of the best spritework I've ever seen, especially given the limitations: the use of color and pixel clusters on dark backgrounds is so goddamn beautiful in places. I love it!
